How do you stop text from scrolling?

#1 Post by Icegoten »

Whenever I hover over something to get a description the text scrolls up and down which I find very annoying when trying to look for one part of it. Is there a way to do manual scrolling without the text moving up and down unless I do it myself?

Yeah, bugs me too. Honestly, outside of a larger monitor resolution, I think we're stuck. It annoys me too, though. Maybe we should put in a request to have a way to manually scroll?
And it was such a good idea...

I assume you're referring to the chat window. If you open up your message log manually (default bound to ctrl-M) you can manually scroll up and down through the log and it will stop scrolling until you scroll back to the bottom (unless you run out of lines, see game settings to adjust).

Actually, he's referring to the descriptive text on some items you get in the game. The Desert Scorpion gloves are one example. Basically, the effects and lore are longer than the window, so there's this slow text-crawl that happens. Really irritating when you can't read fast enough.

Also irritating when it's ~1 line longer than the space available and it just sort of wobbles back and forth...
