[1.0.4] Invisible Arcane Blade in Derth Arena

Lately, for some reason, the arena arcane blade has been spawning invisible. And I don't mean game-mechanic invisible. I can't see the tile and I can't get a mouse-over popup. He reappears after a few turns (if he isn't already dead), so I haven't bothered posting about it until now. Looking at the log, I don't see anything that would account for this. It apparently spawns normally. This is from my last (fatal) encounter:

Are you sure he's not stealthed?

*sigh* Absolutely sure, and why would he be? He never has before, and I'm fairly certain it would be in the changelog if he did get the skill. He's an arcane blade. It may be some kind of weird interaction with one of my addons. Testing that.

I've noticed this sometimes happen if I'm one extremely close to the north door, when it doesn't behave it's 'spawn in south' behavior.
