Mana regeneration question.

Mana regeneration question.
What does it take to have an adventurer with natural mana regeneration like, say, an Archmage would have? Is it tied to a specific skill tree? A specific number of magic-related skill trees? Stats? Last I tried to make an adventurer with mana-dependent skills, he had zero mana regen, which stymied his functionality a bit(admittedly manasurge runes could have patched up a lot of that, but not quite everything).

Re: Mana regeneration question.
- Eventually you will find equipment, regenerating your mana while worn. It can replace rune (freeing the inscription slot); you don't need it equipped constantly: just put item on before resting or using Manasurge rune.
- If you need more regen (e.g. to power mana-draining talents), you need either Shadow magic (moderate regen, good for darkness-damage melee builds) or Magical combat (bigger regen, good for melee builds with certain skills).
- If neither of listed satisfy you, but you like shields (e.g. Spell/Aegis), you can take Spell/Arcane for Disruption shield.
- If you are really desperate to get LOTS of regeneration (e.g. to use invisibility and such), get Timeline Threading and use See the threads to farm for the Hat of Arcane Understanding like crazy.

Re: Mana regeneration question.
Not quite what he asked, though good answers to how to fix the problem.
The actual answer is; The Mage metaclass has a specific hardcode to have 0.5 Mana Regeneration, and no talents can reproduce that.
However, Shadowblades and Arcane Blades also manage a kind of mana regeneration; This is because Spellsurge Runes grants 0.5 Mana Regeneration while resting.
The simple answer on how to fix it for an Adventurer is "Get a Spellsurge ASAP", then find a talent you like for it later. I suggest Arcane Feed or Shadow Feed for the strongest of those, but there's several other Mana restoration options.
Alternatively; Flip off Mana and just run sustains off it, then take Corruption.

Adventurers do start with a Manasurge rune (what you meant I think).SageAcrin wrote:However, Shadowblades and Arcane Blades also manage a kind of mana regeneration; This is because Spellsurge Runes grants 0.5 Mana Regeneration while resting.

It's in your equipment, not attached automatically like it would be for Shadow and Arcane blades.
Re: Mana regeneration question.
Oh, right. I haven't played one in a few versions, so I forgot that they got that added with the other starting stuff.
