[1.0.4] Alchemist golem doesn't use item talent

I recently found shield (item) with the Barrier talent effect:

Talent description: A protective shield forms around you that lasts for up to 10 turns and negates 134 damage. The total damage the barrier can absorb will increase with your Spellpower.

Issue: The golem himself doesn't want to use this talent, also there is no option in the tactical talents usage panel. However, i can use it manually by controlling the servant.
