[1.0.1] Imbuing Prothotipe's Eye doesn't give on spell

I imbued it into the black robe and no on hit (spell) was added from the gem to the the three that come with the black robe.

This was a known fact when creating the item.

Darkgod is more than free to change that of course....

For the time being, the item will function fine if equipped to an alchemist's golem, or when worn by a character with a Psionic Focus (in other words, a mindslayer or adventurer.)

ok - but the description doesn't indicate this. Lucklily I tried it out on a non-essential armor.

The description indicates it because the spell isn't listed under imbue properties.
