May you help me understand my death? screen up

#1 Post by kaycho »

Hey guys, just insta-killed my stone warden.
I casted my 2 friends, then activated the skill to switch with my tank and Boom Insta death from one of my friends :(
Is that normal?
I attached a screen.

Wanna understand so I won't make this mistake again if I did one, cause I'm afraid to lvl him again, was only lvl 12 this time :)

Your Crystalline Half is quite stupid and will gleefully blast you to bits while trying to kill a monster standing behind you. The only way to avoid this is to always make sure that you are not standing between the Crystalline Half and an enemy.

It's not that, they are smart enough to not hit you wish basic attack. It's that Dwarven unity, the swap spell, is terrible since it will trigger attack from crystalline form, and only way to not get hit is to have stone form miles away from you when you cast it. That happens only if you move away when he is engaging enemy, but at that time you will be teleporting into enemy, spell will land in void, and you're doing exact opposite of spell intention. Any time you and your stone half are anywhere near yourselves, you may end up taking more damage from friendly fire than if you simply moved away.

tl;dr the spell is close to useless in current incarnation.

a single point unity is needed for mergeback and won't usually fire strong enough missiles to kill you. Investing past that is dangerous to not benefit, though. The pets themselves are borderline overpowered and mergeback is superb. Just mind the unity~
