Rod of Home Summoning and Lost Souls (2.3.8)

So I finally got out of the Halls of Mandos. I found so much great stuff that I used my Rod of Home Summoning to store them all in a home.
Now having resurfaced, I can't seem to access that filled house anymore, are all those goodies lost forever?

They are in your Bree home unless you ran into a dungeon town in the Halls. All dungeon towns have a secret home which you can only access via the GRoHS. The GRoHS accesses the home in the last town visited. So if you have visited a surface town after getting out your stuff is in the Mandos dungeon home and unretrievable.

^^^ Which IMHO should be considered a bug. I'd say the RoHS should be linked to a single home, which is only accessible through it - kind of like the old "portable hole" item.

Yep. It can be a major problem in the Nether Realms- you have all of your emergency supplies stashed in Lothlorien, then hit a market town... no more emergency supplies.

I would put it on the wiki bug list, if the wiki still existed and there was still a development team.
