Hoping (or is it hopping?) not to open a can of worms here. I've just coped a virus on my friend's computer & I'm wondering what exactly an on-line tome profile opens his computer too? (What can tome access/not access?) Also wondering if off-line is completely off-line (when I have a lua error it gives me the option to report it for instance).
Normally wouldn't worry about these things much, just playing Tome from someone else's computer at the moment. He's pretty anal about security & it's his computer, his choice what risks to take.

Re: Security questions with on-line profiles
Well the lua code can only access your home and the profile data is not executable code.
However a virus can just as easily infect tome exe than any others.
As for offline mode, yeah it still talks to the server at start, if you wish you could block ports 2257 and 2258

[tome] joylove: You can't just release an expansion like one would release a Kraken XD
