Player disappears and loses control in the pedestrial event

I had the pedestrial event in the sandworm lair.
I killed the first adventurer, I stepped on the pedestrial to get the loot and then the player disappeared. I had no control on the game, I was seeing the tunneler digging around me, but had no way to act. I just had to kill the game after some minutes.
