How do you combine mindstars?

I'm a lvl 28 Mindslayer with oodles of mindstars, but despite all my efforts I can't get them to form sets. How do you do this? What are the rules about combining them?

This really should be clearer in the game. It is frustrating.

Also, what happens when they combine?

Most mindstars will complete sets automatically when you equip them. The sets, generally speaking, will have two similar names - "caller's" and "summoner's", "hateful" and "wrathful", and so on. Probably the least related pair is "epiphanous" and "dreamer's".

Harmonious, resonating, and drake's are special cases. Harmonious can pair with any nature-powered greater prefix, and resonating with any psionic. To do this, wield the h/r mindstar in one hand and the one you want to pair it with in the other, then Use the h/r mindstar. Drake's works the same way, except it pairs with the elemental suffixes ("of storms", "of sand", etc.)

When they combine, both of the mindstars get a small bonus.

The "small" bonus is HUGE for wyrmic I've discovered. For one set, both gained +30% stun immunity. For another set, one gained 30% stun, the other +4 to all stats.

Both gained +30% stun immunity? Hmmm... that's a bug.

Only the wyrm star should be giving stun immunity, the drake star should give a different bonus.

It's definitely 60% combined, I checked the character sheet. Wyrmic and resonating.

Ahh.. yeah, a resonating with a wyrmic would do that. If you combined a wyrmic with any drake star it shouldn't be that high. Resonating just copies the set bonuses of the other mindstar.
