Noob question -- can't fire bow

Hi,
Great game but am stumbling a bit. My summoner found a bow. It says default is infinite arrows. Yet I can find no way to fire it even after equiping. Using "a" for attack yields nothing. Nor does putting my mouse over a target. I was able to use bows with my ARcher. I did not see any red requirement suggesting I could not use the bow.
What stupid thing am I doing wrong?

You have to get the Shoot talent, which you can learn from a certain trainer in Last Hope. Costs a small amount of gold.
