Some tiles not showing up.

#1 Post by Gordth »

Hey guys, it seems I have a small issue with my ToME here. I've played the Android version(Angband Variants app) and it works fine and dandy, but in my PC it seems to be giving me problems.

As you can see by that image, the house tiles and some others aren't showing up. They show up nicely with other tiles other than ASCII, but I really want that old school feeling you get from ASCII. If anyone knows what's going on, please let me know. :) Thank you.

The image doesn't show up for me.

As a guess, try a different font.

On Win32 you get blocks instead of pound symbols for walls. You may have to interact with the display preferences to get what you want - I forget the command, but it should be in the command help.

I tried playing around with the fonts, it only made them bigger.

Here's the fixed image:

I marked certain spaces to show some of the missing tiles, but if your ToME is working fine, you will notice the difference right away.

Again, thank you for your assistance. :)

Edit: Please excuse my double post, I just noticed that.

You are playing on Vista Right? You need to fix the font-win.prf file. Actually, I think I have one I prepared earlier...

You need to put this in the lib\pref folfer and rename it to font-win.prf

That worked perfectly! Thanks, budswell!

Also, it seems to give me a strange error message, but everything seems to be working perfectly. Again, I am grateful.

Hi

I am on Vista Home Premium. 2.3.5 doesn't display and light or daylight, i.e graphical bug. So I tried 2.3.6 which has a different issue as described above where shops are not drawn properly and it looks dark etc.

Cheers.

Actually I just realised that I didn't rename it! Yes I can be a bit backwards!! ^^

It works now thanks , although it doesn't display exactly like I am used to, it does have everything on screen.

Cheers.
