Shrink monster's vision radius

Shrink monster's vision radius
Currently, most monsters have a vision radius of 20. I think this should be reduced to 10, to make it consistent with talent ranges, the player's vision range, and the size of most people's displays (based on screenshots I have seen).
Re: Shrink monster's vision radius
10 is the same as that of the player? I wonder how this would affect the game? Do monsters all have infravision? Seems more "fair" that the monsters should have the same vision as players unless they are somehow special regarding vision abilities.
Re: Shrink monster's vision radius
Vision radius is capped at 10. Monsters have 20 infravision but it won't go beyond vision radius as far as I know. If a monster is targeting you from further then 10 it's probably due to target passing.
Re: Shrink monster's vision radius
If you are escorting, blocking the banzai charge of your escort, and entering a door and seeing an empty room, then you should NOT enter the room where your escort can do wander freely but instead wait several turns because quite often after a while monsters will appear from side corridors. They have apparently seen you from quite a distance away, started moving towards you, but take some time to appear in your vision. This is presumably due to their infravision? Just feels somewhat strange that monsters apparently usually have much better vision than you do.
Re: Shrink monster's vision radius
Also, this leads to strange vision as a summoner/alchemist/yeek, when you take control of one of your allied monsters. The player's vision is normally capped at 10, but you can see past 10 with the Higher talent, or high infravision. I haven't seen anything to suggest that monsters sight is calculated differently, so that would suggest a vision range of 20. Mithril, staying in the doorway is needed because of LoS issues, not vision range most of the time.
