keybindings - no number pad

Hey all,
I just started playing and am enjoying the game a lot.
It has been frustrating when using my laptop though because it doesn't have a number pad.
Can anyone tell me if there is an alternate keybindings setup, that can be loaded for this situation, that I may have missed?
Alternatively, has anyone in the same situation manually modified their keybindings setup in a way that they find comfortable?

After having the same problem, I added in the diagonals that a lot of roguelikes use: YUBN for up-left, up-right, down-left, down-right. I changed use from U to shift-U to accommodate this.

It's not elegant, but it gets the job done.
