i wonder. fahfrd my dwarf fighter wrote:

dear diary. whilst strolling through middle earth i ran into this youngster. he's an apprentice mage and needed 15 staffs. as luck would have it, i had been collecting staffs for no good reason. so i rummaged through my backpack and came up with 15 staffs which i handed to him! the little chap was most grateful and my control retired me since he wants to play mages!

that should teach to me not to have weird hobbies like collecting useless items!
