[Discussion] T-Engine Bugs

#1 Post by madmonk »

Hi

I looked at the bugs list.

Code: Select all

T-Engine
View tasks All | Open | Recently opened
Stats 53 open tasks, 170 total tasks.
Progress 0% done
Feeds RSS 1.0 Opened - Edited - Closed | RSS 2.0 Opened - Edited - Closed | Atom Opened - Edited - Closed
There are 53 tasks listed, of which the vast majority come from 2008 and before. I want to close all bugs except those logged in 2009.

My reason for closing the earlier bug reports is that their status is uncertain, so by removing them we are not going to be sidetracked into investigating issues that may have been fixed by someone else but not reported or anything. Also of course if the bug we remove really does exist then someone else may/will report it when it is found again.

As for the one's logged in 2009, I suggest that we go through them and look, close the ones that have been fixed, confirm the ones that we are uncertain of and close any we can't confirm.

What say you?

[UPDATE] Eric has made me admin on the bug list so I can remove the old bugs... So once we agree on a plan of action I will do that bit, but will need help in assessing the 2009 bugs.
Regards

Jon.

I'll leave that to you, then, since I have no expertise in fixing bugs.

Also, who's Eric?
And it was such a good idea...

I have no expertise in fixing bugs either... But I can close the bug reports!

Eric? He is Eric Stevens (estevens). I have already been talking to him...

On Monday (NZ time) I will begin the process of closing all bug reports except those logged this year.

If you object, please post here, otherwise I shall take it you approve and act accordingly!

Jon.

I have closed all bugs/feature requests made prior to 2009. The bug list is much more manageable as a result.

I have also changed the status of alpha 18 from present to past and alpha19 from future to present. This means the alpha19 bug report is now the default option.
Regards

Jon.
