A lvl 15 archer can do more or less fine vs. the Beast with plenty of pinning/slowing/scatter shots (respecc'ing accordingly if necessary), then getting in some extra hits with a bow of great speed, no?
Anyway, you don't really need to go there even without the chest - vaults are almost sure to appear in Kor'Pul or Rhaloren, and you can dump your things there.

Well, seems like I had enormously bad luck the last time round. I had 3 other characters kill the beast without that much problems, although I waited to lvl 20 to be sure.
With that archer, I could never get away from the beast, neither heave, nor pinning shot, not this jump back skilled worked.
But I still think that the teleport block is a bad design choice. If i am in adventurer mode and have 5 lives plus the life of blood, then it is more than a bit frustrating getting killed 6 times in a row by an enemy you just have no way to escape from. It makes sense in a "classic" roguelike, where the first death would be the last, but in this case the other 5 were just rubbing it in.
