Also, it doesn't seem that Open Veins is working at all. I assume this is an addon error, else someone else would have told you about it already. It's probably one of my addons. I don't know why I'm bothering to comment on it honestly.

Edit: This talent relies on the actor's current action being considered as "Intentional", which is flagged by "preUseTalent()" and "postUseTalent()". I could (very easily) see add-ons causing this functionality to break

Heh. For what it's worth, the escorts enhanced addon doesn't seem to have the least of problems with OoTS on my end. Overwrites whatever you're doing just as comfortably as it does the baseline behavior, and doesn't interfere with the rewards and whatnot at all, at least so far as I can tell.

Yup it has no conflict with escorts enhanced but will mess things up if midnight's new escort options are enabled.

(I thought it might be my Steel Drakes, since they have a talent that is very similar to Open Veins...actually, it might be good they don't work together, they might cause infinite loops.)

A notice-- An update on "Odyssey of The Summoner's" current development...
Looks like things are finally starting to wind down. Most of the bugginess seems to have subsided, and this means we can start seeing more content and less bug fixes
Alas, this also means things might go quiet for a while as well, since I'll probably be spending most of my time now putting the finishing touches on what you have been seeing.
- Particularly, I have not implemented the ending yet, nor the post-game evaluation that judges the weight of your character in the story.
- I also have not concretely "defined" the various forks that you can take in this windy, wavey plot yet ("Obedience", "Defiance", and "Betrayal"). Once this is done, it will be MUCH more evident what weight your actions/decisions will have on the story/result-- Assuming you can live long enough, of course
- Most importantly though, the Hydra and the Ritch's "Reflection" quests have not been added yet. The Fire Drake's is only partially in place because it weighs heavily on the growth of your Drakelings as well.
Long story short, what the future holds for this add-on is more story, more plot content-- And perhaps some mechanical/behavioral tweaks here and there. As long as we've finally struck a sensible balance in gameplay, we can finally move this story forward!
So, with all of that said, stay tuned... There's still more to come; a calm before the storm.

Bug reports might be decreasing but my view is that the corruption mechanic is still very problematic. There is no measurement of corruption indicated, it grows extremely fast in certain zones and can't be countered fast enough.nekarcos wrote:"Odyssey of The Summoner" has been updated!! The lack of resists, shields, infusions, etc also makes the class more and more vulnerable as you progress through the game. Out of all the classes available in ToME I'd rate it as one of the weakest. Perhaps that's what you want, but your overall messaging seems to suggest that you don't want that.

Also I can't for the life of me play ritch or dragon, holy hell does hydra breath also drop like a rock at level 20~.
