Playing on nightmare, it's just occurred to me that a shockingly stupid number of my character deaths are due to auto-explore breaking a turn after I see an enemy. Essentially, when autoexploring any enemies I run across will always get a turn on me. For example, I have a ridiculous number of deaths from the Elven Mages in the Rhaloran Camp, who can typically one-shot me with their stone missile whatever spell, despite them being fairly trivial when not using autoexplore.

Zeyphor brought up a similar point earlier in the thread regarding crystals phasing away, to which Bricks replied:

But this doesn't quite seem to be the case in my experience. If I don't autoexplore, manually turn a corner and find an Elven Mage, I get first shot and take it out easily. Same scenario but with autoexplore, he hits me first every time.

Can this be fixed?
