What? Really? If I'm walking into a town filled with foul brutish naturists to bring justice to them, am I supposed to NOT buy that pretty stone in the window of the shop I pass by? Blasphemy! Just because I have to bring justice to them, doesn't mean I can't pick up a little souvenir. This should immediately be made possible. The Shopper's Code demands it. And sales!

I find it bizarre that people would even consider that this would be possible.
Well, let's say I'm running a taco truck, and I see a guy kill 20 people in front of me. If he then walks up and wants to buy a taco...I give him the goddamn taco.

Point! Clearly we should get it free if we're slaughtering the village. +1 for this idea!

I've just uploaded an addon that fixes the talent mastery problem for staff combat and mindstar mastery at

http://te4.org/games/addons/tome/traini ... ar-mastery

It reduces the cost for training to 100/500 gold and provides a mastery boost (to 1.1) if you have allowed training of the talent category from an escort. There is also a new option to increase category mastery by 0.2 (up to 1.3 max) for 750 gold, intended for mid-game characters before going east.

So, for example, if you reveal mindstar mastery from an escort (0.8 mastery), you can unlock the category for 500 gold giving you 1.1 mastery (vs. 1.0 mastery without the escort). You can then further train up the category to 1.3 mastery (1.2 mastery without an escort) for an additional 750 gold.

how'll it work if you pick a talent within Mindstar Mastery and then buy the tree and unlock later on?

Just like you'd expect. If you buy the tree later you'll have a point in the appropriate talent, but the 0.8 mastery will be upgradable as described. It's basically a choice between a generic talent point and 100 gold, assuming you have access to the training and plan on training the category.
