Whoa, you're right, might be something subconscious going on here.

It's fixed now. :)

I've been thinking a little more--if this character of yours falls through, I might try it with a Zombie Rohanknight Haftedmaster. I'll try to get Mimicry from FF and pump it up to the point where I can get extra arms--then I could use Grond with a shield as well as nice gloves and secondary weapon. Mimicry would also be nice for dealing with HIT:ABOMINATION.
I like your haftedmaster. I saw it on the ladder. I won't post my char on the ladder as I cheated by adding runecraft to the ff quests. If you want to see it still I can make it available elsewhere. I am strongly considering trying again without the runecraft.

Well, it's just as well, since I just lost this one to the Maeglin quest.

:x

A mere annoyance. Time to try again... Make this one bigger and better than before.

OK, this one's going to make it, I swear...
Fifty whacks with Skullcleaver if I'm wrong.

My Assassin char, who does has Skullcleaver (though not wielding it at the moment), will be waiting with semi-bated breath..... But, seriously... good luck!!!

Why not try hafted master with stunning blows and Tulkas prayer to 20? Should have no problems meleing 1-1, right?

I've tried that already.

Stunning-Blows isn't too useful at all; most high-level monsters resist stunning and even if they don't, recover from stunning after only about 1 round.

Update: the character above is now bulldozing his way through the Void.

It's very tough. Grond is a peerless weapon and my fighting skill is off the chart but still... Monsters everywhere, and they're all trying to kill me!

Supporters and hecklers alike should follow the progress of this one.

Took a couple tries to finally do it, but it's done.

Wow, that was the last really big thing I wanted to do in ToME. I'm not sure what else there is for me now... can't help thinking that it's only a matter of time before I set my sail at the Havens, heading overseas and out of this variant... :(

Nothing wrong with taking a break - just make sure you come back when ToME 3.0.0 comes out. :)

Normally, that's the point where you should start writing modules... after all, youve already did some map macking and I'm sure lot of module writers would love to have a very experimented player designing some of their quests... I see a job oportunity here...

It's about time to add new joke monster - "Lord Dimwit" - desc: "Melkor was so evil because he feared Lord Dimwit, who had beaten up the Lord of Darkness several times before the foundation of Arda" :D

Yeah, but all I would be doing would be lurking in the Void. All of my attacks would be "hit to complain that this game is too easy," and my only spell would be Mass Genocide, making it pointless to fight me

Ok my warrior is in the Void, level 133. You encountered Tik on level 693, do I have to find the stairs down 550 times ?? I hope there is a way around, otherwise it would be tedious in an unfunny way :?

If you really want to know, read the dungeon spoiler off the ToME help menu.
