Incoming new feature in beta16: Online character sheet!

The sheets have tooltips for objects, quests, achievements too, try it!

How does it work? Painlessly!
If you are logged in your profile when you create a new character it gets registered on te4.org and each time you save it is updated with the latest data.
Nothing you need to do. Your characters will automatically appear in the "Characters" section of your online profile and the "last 5 updated characters" column on the site will be updated.

Now that I'm done with my beta13 story, I'd like to try the new world settings... but I'm a bit reluctant to play beta15 because of some of the bugs. Beta16 sounds awesome...

Will there be an option to opt either per account or per character if you do not want your exploits to be lauded/decried en masse?

The game will detect any tempering with its own files or the activation of cheat mode and thus refuse to upload characters

Will this feature keep the old data? I suppose I can't play with beta 16 the character I started with beta 15... so the stats displayed are pointless now that I will need to erase this character and start a brand new one

Play the 15b character in 15b until it dies or wins. Then upgrade to 16.

The feature is rather convenient for those of us that want character information on the fly [READ: Those of us in the channel]; but a problem might arise when we realize that we cannot yet delete characters from our online profile. I know I won't want to keep characters that I haven't had some milestone with.

Same thing with the blogs, I can't seem to find a way to edit them after posting, nor can I delete them yet.

I hope both of these change soon - so that they are even better!

For those of us that play behind a firewall, will there be any way to manually upload character dumps? The main computer I play from will not let me connect to my online profile in game.

But, why wont it let you ? It uses HTTP connections on port 80, if you can access the web you can use it

Nope, I always get a failed to authenticate when I'm at work. I even tried creating a new account from this machine and VERY carefully typed the same password and it returned with "failed to authenticate, try again in a few minutes". Oh well.
