This is my first Anorithil, by the way. Was having an easy time of things before the Master fight...

Way to go Grey! I found myself muttering "Starfall, starfall" whenever you went down to the hotkeys. :D

Yeah, felt that myself when rewatching it :/ When I finally remembered Starfall I didn't have enough negative energy! I thing playing an Anorithil after an Archmage is bad, since you get into bad habit of just blasting everything with rays. Ah well, he fell anyway :)

That fecking Dread gave me the heebeegeebies though...

It's *really* fun watching you play. Wish I had Anorithils unlocked... It's just that I haven't made it to the east yet.

Finally got around to playing a bit more, here's my little Anorithil against the orc ambush:

I'm guessing I won't be able to abuse invis quite so easily in beta 14 :P

And I'm dead... Bloodmage in the east blighted me to death. Curse of vulnerability hurts Anorithils quite hard :/ My own fault for not retreating round a corner though, Anorithils just aren't that good at a long range fight.

Lately I've been building my Anorithils with some physical prowess -- almost as if they're actually a Divine (priest) subclass! Imagine that! ;)

Seriously, though... after you pump Magic, which is their only real class stat, what else are you going to put stat points into? Cunning? Don't be silly.... Constitution is a given, because everyone needs that, but then that leaves you with high Magic, high Con/HP, and a whole crapload of Generic talent points. It actually works out pretty well for me to put a point or three into Dex, Weapon Combat, etc. Then I can whack things with my staff from time to time.

That, combined with the Anorithil's absolutely awesome resistances from Hymn of Perseverance and Chant of Elemental Resistance Whatever It's Called, makes the Anorithil a half-decent tank hybrid.

(That said, I lost my most recent b14 Anorithil to a minotaur in the Maze, because it confused me. Through my resistance. I failed multiple attempts to heal, and ended up dead. I miss potions.)

I wonder if it's worth getting archery with them? Would give more long range options.
