Yes the old forest is 7-18, with 7 levels.

I meant that there should be some variation of monster levels with weaker leveled monsters at the top and harder monsters at the beginning...

I also tried out a few things... I started up a lvl 99 mage (for the heck of it) at first I had an energized ring (+2), but then I put on a ring of magic +7 (bringing my magic up to 72 with my other +5 ring) and now disruption shield does this:
Uses mana instead of life to take damage. Uses 0.05 mana per damage taken.
:D lol I have seen +9 rings before, so I will see how low I can get the damage

and I also noticed that globe of light blinds monsters and that dig works too, nice :)

on the other note this character also has a staff of power (+30) and a staff of wizardry (+50 mana, +25 power) which is probably why disruption is so good too.

I'll take a look.

On a side note in next RFT there is a fractal plasma heightmap generator for nicer forest "rooms" :)

hmmm.... with 77 magic and -0.06 mana per damage conversion... something seems wrong, walking over items is messed up, giving me what I stepped on a while ago instead of what I am stepping on now... no errors though in stdout.txt... do you want my savefile? I could zip it and put it up.

a few other things I noticed:

luck of the little folk is constitution based, shouldnt it be cunning based?

dig is fun :P

probability travel should be changed to "implement me" until it works correctly (like recall)

and a request or two:

could you add in a mana/stamina cost display for each talent, it would be nice to see how much it costs to cast.

headgear, cloaks, shoes

maybe instead of manaflow going up as steeply, maybe make it a longer duration. also the 200 turn cooldown is a tad long (for me at least)

free targetting, so far when there is a monster in view, you cant target anything you want... making ball spells more difficult.

You are not limited to defined colors
You can just do : color = {r, g, b}

I'm not sure I understand the walking over item thing.
