@Izowiuz - I voted no... just because I wouldn't play it immediately. I'd wait a while, check people's reviews etc. lurk a bit more.

There must be some undead Pernband zealots still lurking in the shadows.

That reminds me- I should fire up a game from back when lost souls were still *really* challenging to play.

There are tons of active angbanders who will play ToME 3 when it sees completion, even if (like myself) they're not active ToME board members/devotees/&c.

If you build it, they will come.

Hell yes, of course Id play. ToME is my favourite variant by a long margin - I like the skill system very much and the many different ways you can play (500hp sorceror who can do (almost) everything, possessor in different bodies or summoner hanging out with a bunch of friendly Ds come to mind, and the gods, and and and...).

But what IckyThing said: the people frequenting here all know it inside out and theres not much to say anymore. Though if were looking for something to blame for the decline in activity, Id pick the withdrawal of Maylith rather than the spam mess. Anyone know what she is doing these days ?

edit: corrected a typo

I'm currently trying to beat V but I had a lot of fun with ToME 2 and I've been waiting for a new version for long. I used to regularly read the changelogs for each beta hoping that it would soon be completed but, suddenly, all development seemed to stop.
I hope development will be resumed and I'll surely try ToME again as soon as I'm aware that a somewhat finished version is released.

PS : thread on oook from bio_hazard

I know that I voted before, but was too busy to post, I would definitely play despite real life getting in the way for most of the time.

If it was released right now, I'd download and play it ... within a month or two (maybe earlier). I'd really love to see the Possessor class changes (like being able to wear 11 crowns with an 11-headed hydra)

I haven't posted in a while, but logged in just to vote yes to this. Anymore I really don't come to the boards, I am just waiting for T3 to come around. The only way I found this post was a thread over in the oook boards.

I'll play.

I think I'll also mod a bit. I noticed a bit of lua code that suggests level 100 sorcerers will have 1 hp...

Man, it's been a while. I had to make a new account since my old one has been lost to the mists of time. I've been playing this since Pernband and still do.. I really hope it doesn't die. I don't really have the time to contribute a lot but I'd be willing to fix minor bugs since I've done quite a lot of coding..

I'm just a player, not even a potential developer and I burned out on T2.3.x like 3 years ago, but I still check in every couple of months just to see if maybe T3 is done. If that happy day arrives, I'd definitely play.

With 2.3 I'm kinda in and out, but probably one of the things that would really get me back to playing alot would be a 3.0 release.

I've recently discovered TOME and I am hooked at the moment.

Well, I tried it a while back but I never read the instructions/wiki and kept getting ganked by Wormtongue in the thieves house quest, so I quit. :x

I find this variant far more interesting than vanilla once you get past all the gumpf and figure out what does what and where to go next.

I would certainly play Tome 3 if and when it gets released.
