Actually, I've ran a few Half-elves. More of them then Dark Elves...

Yeah, I'm sure people do play as half-elves, but I just found it kind of funny that a "favorite elves" poll completely left out one of the most well-known.

Plus, the guy's obviously far more Elf than Human. Elrond Seven-Eighthselven perhaps?

Nope, actually less than half elf. Of his great-grandparents four were human, three were elves, and one was a maia.

Ohh. Say, is all these information about Tolkien's people in the Silmarillion? I've just read the first two books of LoTR, and I'm wondering.

Yep. The first two family trees at the back of the book cover the descent of Elond and Elros without the narrative if you just want to fact check.
