Campaigs not loading

#1 Post by arara »

Hello Mods,

I played the campaigns Orcs and Ashes of Urokh,
at one point the latter stopped loading and I could not play it anymore. I bought the cult addon but I could never play it, as far as I can remember.
Now with a new pc it still does not work.

No Errors found in the log-file.
Do I have to finish the orc campaign to be able to play the Ashes and/or Cults?
I am at a loss here.
Any advice appreciated!

Thanks a lot!

P.

Ashes & Cults add no campaigns. Embers of Rage is the only DLC currently that adds its own campaign.

Aaah, thanks a lot. That is an explanation, indeed.
That means some formerly available campaigns were deleted at some point, for whatever reason?

Best regards!

No official campaigns have been available that aren't currently available.

However, there is an addon campaign Hammer of Urh'rok (which I really like), which is kinda based on Ashes DLC (and another addon campaign Light from Below, which I guess would be more Cultish)

Check your addons menu and make sure the DLCs are present and activated.

But to clarify: Embers of Rage (Orcs) has its own separate campaign that does not take place in the Maj'Eyal of the main game. Ashes of Urh'Rok and Forbidden Cults both add new classes and races, that when selected, have their own additional or extended questlines that add on to the main game but still take place within the normal campaign. You access their content by playing as one of their classes. Sort of like how Dwarves or Archmages in the base game have their unique starting areas, but extended a bit to more than just an area at the beginning.

Ashes and Cults also both contain new items and world events that I believe can occasionally be found on non-DLC characters, provided you own the DLCs and have them activated in the addons menu.
Let slip the toast of war.
