1.6.2 Heavy Weapon Expertise shot

...for Bolter sometimes just vanish.
It looks like - I used HWE, shot it but log shows not damage, only that I used it and then no damage to anyone.
Skill is on cd, dunno was steam spent or not, didn't pay attention to this.
It happened 2 times when I was hit - maybe being hit somehow affect that?

Upd: Not sure, but looks like same happen with Flame Jet? Maybe I just doesn't understand how it should work.
Given Flame Jet/Flamethrower accuracy - could it just miss normal wolf in Trollmire?
Used it and somehow missed that wolf, log had no damage.

Upd2: No, I start to think it's the same as when some special sttacks of archer or psyshot just vanish - like saw shell or headshot just vanishing without a trace. Since nobody reported it I guess it's just some mechanic I don't know of - maybe mobs just sidestep it quickly since I got fast animation turned on.

Upd3: I used Flame Jet 3 times in a row vs armored skeleton in a 4-room vault in Korpul and did 0 damage. I guess it's not maneuvering because there is no place for it.
I noticed that you for sure can never hit target that used Rush or similiar thing with anything, but that's actually mechanic I think.
But that's not the case here.
I'm puzzled.
And the last 2 shots also somehow missed that skeleton.

Another bug.
When disarmed I can still switch to Heavy Weapon - flamethrower and still able to shoot - only range of the shots is 1, they doesn't take a turn but still spent HW ammo.

Also - I can't shoot from flamethrower mobs in stealth if mob's tile isn't shown and when being pointed by cursor show no info, unlike any other weapon.
If mouse cursor pointed on mob and does shows some info even if mob's tile isn't visible - then I can shoot flamethrower.

OK seems I got it.
I didn't noticed it before but when your Heavy Weapon Expertise's Boltgun shot missed it plays no sound - the same case exactly when you try to targem empty space or space where it no hostile targets - steam is consumed, skill is on cd, ammo is consumed but there is no sound - I don't know is it bug or intentional behavior.
It seems sometimes things happens same way when theere is hostile target in AoE for Bolter's HWE shot.

I'm reworking the way heavy weapons act in the next patch - so I'll try out all these scenarios prior to release and see if they're still occurring.

Also using Safety Override not always expend all your HW ammo - I noticed it for Bolter, probably happened becuase my Rocket Pod acted before and eliminated target?
Also not sure it wasn't just bugged SO.

Wait lol, I didn't notice that shot was actually made. That mean SO is bugged as I still had ammo left after that.
Also damage doesn't looks right for it, isn't it? It added separately, which sucks.

I'll tweak the damage display. Am altering how SO works next patch so that'll be fixed then.
