Thick Skin prerequisites ; how to obtain them?

I noticed quite a few guides call for 5/5 for Thick Skin (Within the Generic combat training tree). The Archer guide I'm following, is no exception , as it calls for 5/5 Thick Skin as well.

I have looked through quite a few guides, and many suggest to never put points into Constitution. The Archer guide I'm following, is again no exception.
This guide suggests a Stat distribution of: Dex > Str > Mag > Cun, replace Mag with Wil if Antimagic. So no Con at all.

So the question is how are we supposed to get the prerequisites needed in Constitution, to be able to get 5/5 Thick skin?

Is it through a manipulation of Stats? ie Wear some piece of gear, that will raise my Con? Does this game allow you to do that? So if I wear enough Con gear, to have the Stats needed to get 5/5, then remove that gear, would I lose the 5/5 thick skin? Is this how it is supposed to be done, to get the prerequisites?

Yes, the technique you have described is exactly what you are intended to do.

I'm sure someone will come along and tell me it's an """"""""exploit""""""" and should be removed from the game, but while it's here you might as well """"""""abuse""""""" it.

You can do the same thing to meet the stat pre-requisites for prodigies as well.

Some people even dual wield enough damage on target dummies so they can take Windblade on a 2hander specializing class.

IIRC you can't do that anymore. But people still do that with normal play, though it takes a while.

You can still meet windblade prerequisites through the dummies, but you can't unlock wildfire and ice this way

Just don't have a 2h in main hand for windblade if you're ogre, or it doesn't count
