How would an ogre with normal staff + shield fare, would that be worth it?ZyZ wrote:Short staff + shield (look for one with 'deal bonus physical damage equal to your armor' on hit and / or timeshield) is still best choice, even after nerf to staff/shield accuracy bonus. Staff/shield acc bonus to arcane combat flame / arcane combat lightning / arcane destruction improves dmg by about 100-200%.

Re: advice on arcane blade
Hi,
I started a Cornac AB recently but I feel completely lost, I have no idea where to put generic points and stat points. Could you give me some basic advice on how to start the character? Which skills are good and which are useless? Thanks

The damage reduction wouldn't be that big from being an ogre, without a belt:grobblewobble wrote:How would an ogre with normal staff + shield fare, would that be worth it?ZyZ wrote:Short staff + shield (look for one with 'deal bonus physical damage equal to your armor' on hit and / or timeshield) is still best choice, even after nerf to staff/shield accuracy bonus. at 20 spell power, the damage reduction is 20%
at 40 spell power, the damage reduction is 15%
at 80 spell power it's at 12.5%
If the shield is good, it'd be worth it.
besides, the generic that unlocks two handed weapon wielding gives a huge bonus to runes, and it's well worth getting it

What weapon should i use together with specific element?
