1. Chronomancy/Temporal Summoning (or time travel?)
Talent: Temporal Gestalt Item:
Example: Previously you wielded in combat a long sword with 25% chance of chain lighting. Now you wield a maul that can daze and poison. Use Chronomancy to make it as if something of both weapons were there, so get both current and previous abilities, a temporal gestalt of the two.
Setting up this ability, the player would click on this talent, then select an item slot, and then select a second item in inventory of that slot type as the one they previously wore. After learning this talent, any item put in a slot will get a copy of it stored in the inventory list this talent can choose from (its own list), even if the item was gotten rid of, since it will be a temporal accessing of when it was worn.
The character will be able to sustain one designated slot per use of this talent. If the player wanted to have a full gestalt set of items, that would mean paying the psi cost for each slot, which would only be doable at high level. It would also work on the Beyond the Flesh telekinetic slot.

so, what you are suggesting is an ego library, and ability to temporarily attach stored ego set to the currently wielded weapon?
hmmm sounds interesting...

But i don't know the first thing about coding so cant do it myself. : P
But this way if you have a weapon with an effect you like but its stats are low and you have another weapon, or two weapons and are like, gee i'd like both effects, this uses chronomancy to have a weapon or other item of the past effect the present through the current weapon or item slot, the benefits of both items. I think it could be a sustainable effect the way space folding the weapon is, with each slot being its own focus regarding sustain cost.
And the talent would have its own library / hall of records, divided by item slot, where any item you put in a slot gets recorded there for possible chronomantic access via this talent.
New characters would start out with such a library that would keep getting records into it but would only be accessible from this Talent. We probably don't wield too many items but there could be a "hide selected" option for if we end up cluttering it.

Re: Idea: Chronomancy: Temporal Gestalt Items Talent
rather than having each slot its own track, it would be better to have 1 library, that includes type of the weapon in the set.
if the weapon is a 1h or 2h, you can only put it in main (or tk slot).
but if its a dagger or a mindstar, everyone is going to put in all the slots anyway, just to have the choice.
also, as for the clutter, why not have the option to forget things?
i always carry ALL the rigs i get, untill i get 3 that do exactly the same. then, i just transmo the weakest.

I run into encumbrance issues a lot, lol.
Do you code, perchance?

i once tried...
started with the very first thing in the wiki and the decided to figure out how to compress or decopress it.
to summarise, my computer hate me and the suggested program doesn't work.

Re: Idea: Chronomancy: Temporal Gestalt Items Talent
well, I did look at some code by unzipping some teaas (after renaming .zip), but even if I try to save it without making any change at all and then rezip it, the game wont load it.... I tried opening in Word.
I do see a line that sets inventory worn = false, something like that. lol, what would happen if I switched it to true, heh?
Class: Timebastard: The effects of whatever is in your inventory temporally bleeds through from a reality where you were wearing it, so any effects, good or bad, from wearing those things are applied to you. (penalty could be that the count of allowed items gets dropped from 1000 to like 20 or something?)
This crappy idea because I don't know the first thing about code, but it seemed like an interesting thing to try since I saw that...
