Just curious how other ToME 2 players arrange their keyboards...
With this guy, an Orc Warper

I currently have keymaps:
x -> Select a target and Manathrust it.
X -> Cast detect traps, then detect monsters. (This might be a bit dangerous as it's two turns, whatever...) [Edit: This is dangerous if you don't disable the Capslock key!]
V -> Phase door.
Though my prior (more general) arrangement, with macros, was usually
F1 -> Targeted attack (usually Manathrust or Pulverise)
F2 -> Detect everything I can (again usually two turns, hasn't killed me yet!)
F3 -> Teleport escape of some sort
F4 -> Secondary attack, usually a wide-area one (Fireflash or Mindwave)
F5 -> Mindcraft buffs, if applicable
Mindcrafters are interesting to play this way. I've not tried it yet, but one could probably run a "pure" Mindcrafter (no melee, no schools magic, etc.) somewhat effectively.
What are yours?
(And does anyone have a macro setup for a Mimic? That's one of the classes I've never figured out how to play properly.)

Re: The macros and keymaps sharing thread
I generally try to use the same types of macros for every character if appropriate.
F1=Rest until healed
F2-F5=character and situation specific
F6=long distance attack (Manathrust, etc)
F7=ball attack
F8=ID
F9=eat
F10=detect monsters
F11=enlightenment
F12=detect traps
As far as I remember I've never seriously played a mimic. I have used Mimicry effectively as a secondary skill for other characters. Extra arms gives three extra slots, which for a late-game character is awesome. Of course it can be a bit embarrassing when it wears off in the middle of a fight and you drop Ringil, Thorin, and Eol on the ground. If you cast a Mimicry spell repeatedly the durations stack (unlike most other spells) but this makes wilderness travel almost impossible.

Gee thanks, I never even thought of keymapping rest-until-healed. That makes things a lot easier.
