sight range glitch in planar transition

#1 Post by Radon26 »

(no, its not about fearscape)

when you leave the "ambush" area, of an adventurer part, ziggurat patrol, orc patrol and all other, you still have the full 10 sight range (unless it was reduced by an item, then lets say 8 ). while after a second, it comes back to the 4 it was supposed to be, the revealed tiles are still revealed, and player know about other parties in that range (unless obscured by a forest).
also, while sight range comes back to the over-world range, the mini-map scaling remains in the scale of the "random encounter"(until you enter a dungeon or a city). it does not break the game, but make using the mini-map slightly harder.

for some time i was sure its a known bug, but i don't see it in the recent pages, or in the change log for 1.2.3 (I use 1.2.2).
so just in case, i am reporting it.

there are also some other small glitches, that swap or reveal tiles on the map. for example:
-when you exit the maze, Anglowen tile is on the grass, and not on the mountain(i will check this one in a moment)
-sometimes, small 3x3 areas are revealed (center tile of the 3x3 is still "hidden") around the yeek island (and 1 or 2 other places).

on the first image... how did I reveal that area? Well, that's the transition glitch/bug
on the second image, you see the 3x3 glitch, and all the tiles around, that could be revealed from the edge of the land
