I just downloaded and moved Nullpack v26 to the appropriate folder, and now, whenever I try to start a new game, the engine hangs at 100% on the loading screen, and part of it flickers.

The issue is that you have Nullpack installed twice, so it's conflicting with another version of itself. The solution is to remove the older version.
Did you install once via Steam subscription and once with a downloaded version from te4.org, or something like that?

I think I installed an older version by mistake. I then deleted it from /game/addons and then moved the new version into there. Did I uninstall the addon correctly?
Edit: Both files were obtained from te4.org

Problem is, the error keeps occurring. From your previous log, I think you might have Arcanum and Midnight installed twice as well... sort your directory by name, so duplicates are easy to find, and remove all the old ones.
