Re: Sun Paladin Suggestion
What would be really interesting would be to give them an alternative to Celestial/Guardian for two handed weapons and an unlocked two handed weapon tree. I've often wished there was a two handed weapon celestial to take advantage of the prodigious supply of tridents in the celestial starter dungeon.

Tridents aren't weapon mastery, they're exotic weapon mastery. That said, a moon paladin that starts with exotic unlocked, might be rather strongly feasible. You could actually build around tridents/whips/whatever.
Provides good excuse to make some new exotic artifacts too.

Could be quite interesting if Trident could also get stave egos. Many artifact tridents seem to have magic boosting stuff on them.

Heck yeah!HousePet wrote:Could be quite interesting if Trident could also get stave egos. Many artifact tridents seem to have magic boosting stuff on them.
Then there could be an Arcane Gladiator class.

They're not weapon mastery, but that doesn't mean you can't use them without mastery. They work just fine with the two handed weapon class trees and you can open up the mastery when you get a lost fighter escort.Crim, The Red Thunder wrote:Tridents aren't weapon mastery, they're exotic weapon mastery. I'm sorry for necroing this thread, but I must say I support Atarlost suggestion. I did a little addon with improved celestial Combat tree and was thinking about giving them the Two-handed Maiming tree (Stun, Sunder Armor, Sunder Arms etc.), unlocked Combat Techniques (Rush) and a new high level two-handed tree (Protector?).Atarlost wrote:What would be really interesting would be to give them an alternative to Celestial/Guardian for two handed weapons and an unlocked two handed weapon tree. What I'm planing as this new tree talents: a lateral slash that hits the enemies in a frontal arc (and causes bleeding); a spellpower increase with strength passive (like the arcane and shadowblade ones); a triple attack with both increased accuracy (two handers dont have counterstrike) and increased critical chance; and finally a cast on being hit skill that may casts Healing Light, Barrier or Providence (and that crappy Bathe in Light too) when you are hit for more then X% (reducing with talent level) total life (an inverted arcaneblade).
