Stuck in the sandworm area

New to this, just got my first char to level ten. Went to check out the sandworm area. Got stuck in a wall. No problem, used my teleport rune.

Now I can't move. I've teleported like 5 times, waited forever. Don't seem to have any negative status effects. Currently I'm one square off the exit, but every time I hit the button, it just says 'you can't move!'

Anybody ever get this? I'd like to save him if I could....

Nope.

To be clear, my Encumbrance is 35/114. And as I said, no detectable negative status effects.

What happens if you use your Rod of Recall to get out of there and then re-enter? Maybe that'll fix whatever confusion the game has?

Had the same issue twice today so you're not alone.

Level 12 bulwark in the scintillating caves - level 3.

Level 2 summoner in trollmire.

Both seemed to be right after encountering a purple monster. I was able to teleport but couldn't use the Rod or move.

I was playing on a laptop with a VPN connection over wireless, were you doing anything like that?

Ah, after revisiting again I realized I'd completely missed the encumbrance message. Both of mine were because I was over-encumbered ...blindness FTW.
