help :3 Alchemist

I'm playing a Alchemist and I just got done going through the Old Forest . I was kicking it at the Lake of Nur and adventured off into the lack at found a underwater castle. I went down and was like oh crap I can't breath underwater im going to die. I die but my golem lives! Is there anyway I can resurrect my char? This was his last life.

Any ideas, thanks!

EDIT: I went back under the castle with my golem. He died and my char leveled up then died again. Says I was killed by my servant! hahaha. Cool game darkgod!

My understanding is: No, have fun as the golem for as long as you can.

I am a little curious though, can the golem win the game if it's alchemist is dead? Also noticed that a halfling's golem is also a halfling, it gave me an achievement for blowing myself up!

Sadly, he can't leave the zone you're in alone.

Presumably, yes, you can end the game if he's surviving in High Peak and you're not, and win. But in general, no.

That would be a super-cool secret ending! The golem becomes self-aware, and lives on independently...

I've seen a lot of advice about bombs being better then heat. What I'd like to know is late game what are alchemists generally doing during bomb cool-down? Moving/healing?, using fire alchemy after all?, using the staff?, something else?
I'm a little unsure whether it's worth boosting staff combat much.

Channel Staff spam is quite worth it. Generally makes for a very solid ranged attack option.

You can also get a command-heavy support skillset to help you out-Hexes and Light are both good for giving you a lot of buttons to press during the cooldown.
