It does not turn into a black screen upon pressing new game, I simply click run from inside the steam client and it boots up into just a black screen.

Black Screen on Bootup
Every time I try and start up the game, it just stays a black screen forever. Titled "T-Engine4". Forever ago I tried to mod the game and remember there being something about special boot rules, but I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Going so far as to search my computer for any file related to it and deleting it before reinstalling, so I hope any changes I made years ago would have been reset.
