[1.7.3] Glass Golem Not Unlocking

Hi there! Username Mereth, I recently played a very long game with Alchemist and attempted to finally unlock Glass Golem, one of my final unlocks in the game, and I've been really unlucky with the drop of the Illusory Castle Tome. I vaulted it, and finally made it to the end of the book with my Alchemist and didn't unlock Glass Golem upon killing the boss of the area. I left, thinking it'd unlock when I left, and still no unlock. I was told by a moderator that the thing that probably happened was my Golem killed the boss which prevents the unlock, which invalidated hours and hours of effort I've put in trying to unlock the Glass Golem. Was it something else, or was this the case?
Can't attach entire log, but it shows my golem killing the boss in it.
