[1.7.4]Demonologist can't use tinkers from escort

If you try to attach a tinker to a slot that doesn't have a demon seed slot, such as cloak or hat, you get an error message saying that you do not have any equipped items it can be attached to.

Edit: If a mod can fix my save, I would be grateful, as I would otherwise have to abandon this character.

You can attach the tinkers by drag & dropping them on the item slot instead of using the "attach tinker" context menu option
