Yep, tried deleting both, nothing doing.

So, one other option is to try a 'Reset Windows'. Which I think tells it to wipe and reinstall the whole OS.
Ughhh, doing a full reset is an enormous pain :( Unless there's a reset that doesn't wipe everything that I'm not aware of?

Windows Reset should only replace the OS files, unless you tell it not to. Look up some guides about how to do it. It isn't the same as reformatting the drive.
But also make sure you have your backups up to date just in case.

It is still a big pain though. So maybe try a few Windows integrity checks first.

One idea - try disabling TOME's network functionality (press Esc to get the game menu then Game Options/Online/Disable all connectivity).

If this helps, then you either have something interfering with TOME's network traffic (overly aggressive anti-virus perhaps) or Dark God's server just hates your guts.

Hey,

I'm one of the dudes from one of the threads you posted about this issue.

After getting fed up with not finding any solutions online, I fixed it by setting the CPU affinity of the game manually, and forcing it to only use 1 core rather than the 8 cores my system has. Don't ask me why it worked, it just did.
