[1.7.2] Spell Feedback from own demon

#1 Post by arhont »

When I kill someone, my Overkill talent often hits my Champion Uhr'Rok demon and I get Spell Feedback from him. Will this be fixed?

Overkill also hurts escorts so I think this is working as intended.

It's not even the most egregious example of AOE hurting your own summons, see Stonewarden. I feel that if this is to be changed it's not going to be to address Demo by itself, but all the older classes whose AOE hurt allies. The expansion classes ignore allies for example.

The problem with demo isn't that you kill your allies, but that they can hit you with a bunch of stuff, and this one specifically has spell feedback as a prodigy(same as the normal champions), which means anytime it steps into some ground aoe or gets hit by your aoes, he'll spell disrupt you(35% chance to fail spells, duration being equal to the cd of the skill you hit him with), making him unusable as a summon since he'll - you up. This is a common issue with most of the demo summons though, they almost all have things that will bother you, from freeze/disarm runes to aoe stuns/pins/confuses and other stuff. They do 0 dmg to you, but the effects of their skills still apply to you. Ultimately after the early game I found it safer to just have all your demons dead so they don't get autosummoned and actively try to get you killed. This works well since the rez is bugged(which is fixed next version) so they never get rezed and you just don't care, although if I had to replay demo I'd just not put any points into the autosummon skill, just not really worth it currently.
