Can't play higher

Every time I make a higher (tried with necro, alchemist, archmage, bulwark), it gives me a Lua error page when I start, and one of two things happen: 1) The game starts with no UI, when I reload, it works normally but I have no trans chest and the rod of recall doesn't drop; 2) The game doesnt start (blackscreen) and if when I press any key, infinite error messages start popping off (leading me to kill the game on task manager).

I have some add ons installed, tried deactivating them all to no effect, same thing with "verify file integrity" option on steam.

Any suggestions?

Iirc "Simplified Prodigy Requirements" addon causes such issues due to its aggressive overloading of files.

Removing said addon should let you play again.
