[1.6.7+] Hostile novice mage

#1 Post by Duck of Tsumego »

The novice mage from Angolwen is hostile to Krogs—the expected behavior is for him to run away as he does with oozemancers and other antimagic characters. There’s no way to interact with him, so he just stays there blocking autoexploring or running in general (hostile sighted: novice mage).

I had originally classed this as a 1.7b1 bug, because I had experiencing it while trying the beta, but since we aren’t supposed to have DLCs active while testing, and given that Krogs come with one, I’m editing this to refer to 1.6.7 instead.

Still, Krogs are very cool, and while the problem is just a minor annoyance, it would be really nice to have it fixed when 1.7 is out. And, while I don’t know Lua, I believe the fix will be a simple one—just a matter of extending to Krogs the reception given to any other antimagic character.

P.S.: I’ve created another account to reflect the change in my username. Retiring this one as of now.

Thanks for fixing this Dark God!

As a side note could we get an option to simply give the novice mage his magic item within the first dialogue if we already have it? This is a really small thing but it feels kind of clunky when I have to go out of conversation and then right back in to hand him an item that dropped off Bill or another of the first area bosses. :)
