[FC][1.6.4]Hithre won't get entropic wasting after few turns

after the first few turns or so if The Day it Came, Hithre will cease to be inflicted with entropic wasting after using his healing infusion; it works fine the moment he spawns, but afterwards, I have to autoattack myself to death because I can't do anything else and cannot complete the book
EDIT: as it turns out, attacking myself with autoattack after becoming unable to get entropy from healing infusion will enable me to gain entropy from healing infusion, but only once
