Addons not auto-updating

For months my addons simply don't auto-update anymore. I just get the "retrieving addons to update/download from te4.org" and nothing happens. If I manually search every addon, find which one has a new version and update it manually, then I get the "Addons update finished" message right after the other one. So far I tried a fresh install, deleting the profile folder and using a different new account, but none of that worked. The log doesn't give any error lines.

I originally got the game as a gift through Steam, but moved to the non-Steam version about a year ago, which worked splendidly until the above problem started occurring. The Steam version is still working fine, probably because it updates from the Workshop, but I'd rather not depend on Steam to play the game.

Hum that's strange, can you fire the game with an addon that needs updating, wait for the message, exit and send me te4_log.txt from the game's install folder please?

I've never had addon auto-updating work at all on the non-steam client on any of the three computers I've installed on. I've been manually updating since day one.

Sure. Here you go. I used an older version of Improved Auto-explore and Rest (tome-improved-restauto) for this. And The Forbidden Cults needs updating as well, since you released new version today.

Also, I forgot to mention in the first post:
• I tested with the firewall disabled, but no luck.
• The new expansion didn't download automatically either. I had to manually download it (in-game).
