Load into black screen on Grushnak Pride - Lua Error

I tried to enter Grushnak Pride and ended up getting stuck on the Generating Level screen. I had to restart the game, and upon restarting I now load into a black screen with no available UI, map, or character elements. A stack trace gets repeatedly printed out if I run the game from the terminal:

This is on Linux playing on Steam.

This is my first Nightmare character to get this far so if at all possible I'd love a way to recover this save.

I think we need this stickied somewhere...

I believe the fix is to load the save, then ask in in game chat for a GM to port you to a real location.
