Alchemist golem breaking quests

Hi,
I tried activating the agent of the arena quest while having direct control of my alchemist golem, which broke the quest.
I was able to finish the dialogue as usual but when I was supposed to be teleported to the arena, the dialogue box telling me to defeat all 3 enemies appeared and that was it.
Shady cornac was gone at this point and I was still in derth.
I fear this could also happen when talking to Tannen, after clearing one of his dungeons, siding with the grand corruptor or other dialogues that activate a zone change.
