Hi, I was trying to gather arcane artifacts from one of my characters to give them to another to destroy with the spellblaze gauntlets.
As I was uploading the staff of destruction to the vault, the game had a hiccup and said it failed to put the item into the vault. Undaunted, I tried again, but this resulted in my having TWO staves of destruction in the vault.
I have already succesfully recovered one of them but I'm kind of antsy about destroying it. I also thought you'd want to know about this, because duplicating items doesn't seem to fit the spirit of the game.
I have some screenshots if they're necessary.
and apologies if this isn't where this kind of thing is supposed to go, I wouldn't know where else.

Re: Item vault error
I don't think it's a big deal honestly. The vault often fails. Sometimes I have to try several times to place an item or retrieve and item from the vault. Sometimes I can't get it to work and have to try again at a later point. I believe it's because it can't connect to the servers. Not a big deal, you just need to be patient with it sometimes.
Rarely duplication of items happen with the vault. The duplicate and original are both perfectly ok and safe to use. As for breaking the spirit of the game, well, that's really just up to you. It's a single player game, so you can play it however you like. You can't use two of the same item (except rings or when duel wielding) anyways, so it's not a problem to have two of the same artifact.

D'oh! I just realized I replied to a 4 year old post. Oh well, it's useful information in case anyone ever comes across this post.
