Today I was fighting Grand Corruptor and while my Alchemist hid behind the trees I controlled my brave golem, beating GC to pulp.
Suddenly he goes whiny and proposes a truce. I was like OK, let's go bash Zigur together.
That is when the LUA error pops. Apparently it says the golem can't change maps. After I click the error away I go back to previous screen where I can only accept and get greeted by another LUA.
One option would be to add a dialogue option saying Wait a bit after which you return back to the previous battlefield and GC goes neutral for you to initiate the dialogue again.
Either that or automatically switch to main character and then teleport to Zigur.

Automatically switch sounds better. Might have similar issues with thought-forms and summons as well, though since they're controlled less often, not sure if the same checks are on them.

Re: 1.3.1 - Invading Zigur as Golem
i am all for having a "wait" option.
if for example, you lose a golem just before killing the GC, and say "sure lets be allies", you are instantly transported to zigur, and as far as i remember, you don't get any cool-down reset, or refills, and your golem stays dead. some time to heal and prepare would be nice.
if you don't have supercharge golem, its going to stay dead because it is impossible to have 45 turns without anyone bothering you.
